The customer was looking to update their printer fleet to state of the art equipment with printing, copying, scanning and faxing functionality. The project also aimed to centralise and harmonise services whilst also reducing costs throughout the printing environment.
Following a call for tender, the project was awarded to CHG-MERIDIAN who provided the delivery and leasing of 1,750 printers and multifunction printers (MFPs). CHG-MERIDIAN provided the customer with an operating lease solution with the following services: leasing and cost centre based billing of all systems, supply and delivery of all consumables and maintenance components, on-site maintenance work as and when required, cost transparency via a clearly structured billing model, introduction of a follow me print solution featuring card-based authentication, handling of all install, moves, adds and changes (IMAC) services, secure data erasure of the hard drives at the end of the contract and deinstallation and return of the old assets.
Finally, the leasing of the hardware and billing of the actual toner is on an individual lease schedule/individual billing basis. The billing for the toner is based on actual consumption under a ‘lease and click’ model thus generating further cost savings for the customer.
