This award enables CHG-MERIDIAN UK to offer finance lease and operating lease solutions to the UK public sector using documentation drafted by CCS.
Crown Commercial Service (CCS) supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2020/21 CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits equal to £2.04 billion - supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.
CCS is the biggest procurement organisation in the UK so this is a great triumph for CHG and also for the public sector, as it’s the first CCS framework of its kind dedicated to leasing solutions, enabling the public sector to find experts who can offer the finance solution that fits both their needs and technology, helping them to create digital transformation via an approved framework route.
Public sector entities know that CCS is one of the most trusted framework providers to use in order to procure a huge variety of hardware and services. However, when it came to leasing, many organisations often proceeded with the leasing company put forward by their chosen supplier rather than exploring what options were available to them.
CCS has provided a huge service and resource to the public sector as the Leasing and Loans Finance DPS delivers a simple to use solution through which the customer can run a further competition of pre-approved lessors. The solution ensures value for money to the customer and the taxpayer and it is designed to fully meet customer needs, giving consideration to government policies such as Carbon Net Zero.
Daniel Talhadas, our Head of Sales Public Sector UK & Ireland says: “There were major stipulations that had to be met to be awarded a place on this CCS framework and CHG is currently 1 of only 5 in this category. This is a huge honour and demonstrates CHG's dedication to ensure the public sector can maximise their budgets, without compromising on their requirements. CHG is able to assist organisations looking to finance IT, medical and industrial devices. By accessing this new Leasing and Loans Finance DPS framework, public sector organisations are secure in the knowledge that they are dealing with pre-approved finance suppliers and documentation drafted by CCS, who can assist with queries. With the creation of this DPS framework, CCS is creating a route to market for public sector organisations, enabling them to ensure they are getting best value for the financing they require. Furthermore, many entities have brought forward the adoption of digital transformation and we believe that the Leasing and Loans Finance DPS can only assist this further.”
CHG-MERIDIAN has more than 40 years of experience dealing with the UK public sector. Our customers know that by leasing their equipment through us they are getting the latest technology that fits both their business needs and offers the best value, with the added benefit of knowing that CHG manages a fully sustainable circular-economy process.
By investing in a CHG created lifecycle model you can be assured that all leased devices are embedded within a circular economy process. Rather than adopting the: make, use, dispose model of a linear economy, we instead keep the resources in use for as long as possible, providing a second life to the resource, whereby the cycle is repeated and therefore completing the full circle.
Our customers can even go one step further in achieving their goals to reducing their carbon footprint with CHG-MERIDIAN'S first to market carbonZER0 finance offering. carbonZER0 leasing allows customers to offset the C0₂ generated in the production, transportation, use phase, and end-of-life scenarios of their leased IT assets.
