Founded in The Netherlands in 1960, Randstad is a multinational human resource consulting firm. The group operates in around 39 countries, employees over 37,000 people and has a turnover in excess of €23.3 billion.

Similar to many other multinational companies Randstad were having issues relating to the remote management of their desktop PCs being as only 150 workstations are located in the head office and as such are centrally managed and maintained. The difficulty of retrieving information and details related to the individual PCs has led Randstad's IT team to seek a new way to manage their IT estate. ​

CHG- MERIDIAN’s flexible, bespoke solution allowed the customer to refresh their whole IT hardware fleet with one single manufacturer and specific model for the sake of standardising their equipment across all branches. Previously Randstad didn’t have a plan in terms of managing their IT procurement. For example, there was no scheduled refresh period, and a PC would often be kept 6 or 7 years beyond its average lifecycle, leaving them with obsolete assets.

The asset management system the customer previously used had proved to be inflexible, not very user-friendly and it lacked the necessary transparency in terms of drilling down into the individual PCs. TESMA®, CHG’s own asset management tool, has been a welcome improvement. TESMA® has enabled the customer to complete extensive reporting in just a few clicks and has ensured the traceability of every single asset right down to the type, model, cost centre, financing dates and certain characteristics related to the installation.
